Markets in Perspective: Staying the Course

As we move through the year, investors are navigating a landscape shaped by ongoing global conflicts, shifting economic signals, and periods of heightened market volatility. While headlines can feel unsettling, it’s important to remember that volatility is a normal and expected part of investing.

This month, we’re sharing a perspective from First Trust that highlights an important historical trend: even in years where markets experience meaningful intra-year declines, long-term outcomes have often been positive. The chart illustrates that short-term pullbacks, while uncomfortable, have been a consistent feature of the market.

Rather than reacting to headlines, we believe it is more productive to stay focused on your long-term plan and ensure it still aligns with your goals. If you have any questions or would like to review your portfolio, please feel free to reach out. We are here to help.
